Tracks and Symposia

There are six PhAST topics, divided into two categories:

1. PhAST Tracks -  These multiple-day tracks include both contributed and invited papers. This year, the Lasers in Manufacturing track also includes the invited-only Joint CLEO/PhAST Symposium on Ultrafast Laser Processing and Applications.

• Lasers in Manufacturing (Tuesday, May 8 and Thursday, May 10)
  • Joint CLEO/PhAST Symposium on Ultrafast Laser Processing and Applications (Wednesday, May 9)
• Photonics in Homeland and National Security (Tuesday, May 8-Thursday, May 10)

2. One-Day Symposia - Take place during one day of the conference and include invited speakers only.

• Commercialization of Applied Research (Tuesday, May 8)
• Solid-State Lighting (Wednesday, May 9)
• Joint CLEO/PhAST Symposium on BioPhotonics and Applications (Thursday, May 10)
• High-Power Laser Systems (Thursday, May 10)
